We run a range of businesses, predominately building locally and shop fitting throughout the South Pacific region. We are also involved in the fruit and fishing industries and we've got a small winery. What do you love about your job? The opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, and being able to design and construct homes to clients' requirements. I take great pleasure out of the fact that we have built something that not only we're happy to put our name to, but also to see our customers happy at the end of day. What couldn't you live without in your job? The support of my wife. What jobs are you currently working on? We are currently doing a retirement village in Renmark, SA. We are also doing a lot of commercial work. Where do you hope to be in 10 years? I guess health plays a big part but at the moment I feel pretty good! I would like to be semi-retired and to spend as much time as I can fishing. What keeps you busy outside of work hours? Family commitments and spending time with my grandchild. My passion though is fishing. Wine is also a hobby -- collecting it and producing it -- and I like drinking it too! Where possible we mix work with pleasure! What has been your biggest challenge? I don't recall being absolutely concerned with a major challenge. But if there has been a challenge for us it has been managing the growth of our businesses, especially in the last five to 10 years, as there has been such rapid growth. last word Photo courtesy Red Bull Air Race, Perth
